This writer doesn't think so--and he's a descendant of coal miners, not an effete lefty.
It may not be green, but for the amount of energy Americans demand, I don't really see a viable alternative.
ReplyDeleteOil and coal producers have long relied on many forms of government subsidies to be economically viable.
ReplyDeleteIf we started supporting alternative energy sources, they could become more financially feasible in the future.
But I agree--our dependence on huge amounts of energy is a huge problem--reducing our needs is a priority.
